Today is my active rest day. Doing cardio and some abs later but here's a video from mondays chest workout. One of my favorite exercises for the chest is the Pec Deck Fly Machine. Trying to push myself every day in the gym.

✅Imma touch on this point a little extra today because yesterday I had a man come up to me and asked me how long I have been going to the gym for and how long it would take him to look like me. I’m going to start this off by saying, don’t listen to anyone who says “It took me 5 years to get this body” or “After 7 years of hard work...” I’ll tell you why right now....

✅That frame of reference is excruciatingly misleading. What may have taken them 5 or 7 years wasn’t the body transformation but the accumulation of knowledge, the experience of successes and failures, and that mind muscle connection etc. Aesthetically, you can safely lose 1-2lbs maybe more for those who are more overweight of pure body fat a week. You can gain (again my opinion) 0.5-2lbs  of pure lean muscle mass a month (depending on your size currently, genetics, experience etc). So by that generalized logic you can lose from 50-100lbs and gain from 25-50lbs of lean mass (lean mass will not work like this but I’m using the same logic)

✅So someone saying it took them 5 years to look a certain is completely misleading you unless they are a juiced up IFBB pro monkey who puts on muscle just by looking at a dumbbell and puts on 20lbs of muscle a year. Remember family is everything and with my crazy life I have very few time for anything, but when I do I make sure we do it big !!!

As much as I love serving my country it comes with a sacrifice, missing birthdays, weddings, births and special holidays. It’s the greatest job in the world and I’m an expert when it comes to my craft.

These people have been around 25+ years and dealt with it all !!! I wouldn’t want any other family besides this group right here. I love you all and had a memorable weekend with you all.

Now it’s my last week of my summer semester and have been grinding it out, while working full time, but that’s no excuse to finish strong. I’m a big advocate for health coming first, but priorities that progress your life and pay your bills comes first.

I still eat healthy and take my Essential Stack to properly nutrition my diet. Just because I’m not working out this week doesn’t mean I’m going to have a shitty diet. You can eat what maintains your current body weight and do home exercises to help keep off the fat !!!!
•
Family over everything, when the Army doesn’t intercept lol.

The only easy day was yesterday

COMPOUND SETS! 
Have you heard of them? 
Often mistaken with supersets, they are when you do two exercises of the same body part back to back. 
For example Dumbbell Bench Press confounded with Dumbbell Flyes. 
Compound sets are an AMAZING way to get lots of volume in a short amount of time. 
It’s a great intensifier that will leave your muscles SHOCKED.

Gave my first Powerpoint Presentation today since 2011 for my business group, in which I quoted “I like big butts and I can not lie”...needless to say, I need to work on thinking before I speak as I was just trying to emphasize the correlation between glutes & athleticism & minimizing lower back & knee pain 🤷🏼‍♂️...dont think I miss school that much after that but any whooo, since im a 👴🏼 & Still nursing the hamstring & TFL, so did a little manipulation of exercises to meet overall goal, suppose to be 4x6 Sumo #deadlift , autoregulating for comfortable reps... so been experimenting with some light frontloading by incorporating small jumps in my warm up, up to my working weight, then also took my 3x30 KB Swing & broke it down to 6x15 for total reps equalling x90 still...added some Lat Pulldowns for lat activation & Voila! Sometimes when I look in the mirror all I see is that massive mountain of fat that I used to be. According to my BMI I still have 30 kgs before I reach a “normal body”. I doubt that I will lose 30 kg from now, but at least I can fit normal jeans now, and watching these throwbacks helps my head to keep up 📈 . .
