These are not proteins, but if you think they are, it's not your fault. The media has been lying to you. Partially because they don't know what the heck they're talking about. If you're wondering what it's like to live under the Reign of Queen Cersei, it's kind of like that. Lies lies lies.

If you need a high amount of protein but you don't want the extra Calories, go with something like pork tenderloin (this is for non muslim only ya), chicken breast, and extra lean ground beef. These will all give you your best bang for your ringgit.

If you want to build muscle or get cut, you need to eat high protein. It's much easier to get your protein quota for the day if you eat low calorie high protein foods like those.

Mislim da nema boljeg nego kad na plažu ideš bezbrižno i kad ljeto dočekaš spreman...ma  sta ja pričam...najbolje je  kad si spreman za badić cijelu godinu!!! Uz idealan doručak i to je moguće , a to potvrđuju i rezultati...

There are oodles ‘n’ bunches of things ‘n’ stuff to consider when you’re setting up a successful fat loss nutrition plan.

How much you actually enjoy the foods you’re eating!

You see, at the start, it’s easy to restrict “unhealthy” foods you enjoy and force down “healthy” foods you hate, but it doesn’t stay easy for long...

Eventually, cravings start kicking in.

Maybe it takes 2 weeks, maybe 2 months. At some point, you get sick & tired of eating foods you don’t like, and all you can think about is scarfing down a pint of Ben & Jerry’s [insert favorite flavor here].

GROCERY days are once weekly.  We meal plan and empty our fridge/pantry weekly.  We spend less.  We eat better.  Nothing goes to waste.  The last week of July 2016, I tried these gems - tiger figs.  I search for them and every other seasonal fruit when it's time. We called every @traderjoes from SD to LA starting the first weekend of August and these weren't our yet. I told my husband they would be once @melissasproduce featured them. Behold, found the first batch right after their post!  Sweet jam filled goodness.  We upgraded our Everything but the Bagel seasoning to the BIG one from Costco because our kids love avocado with this stuff.  Also, TJs tasting table always gets us...bruschetta, lentils, and African smoke season...drooling.  Finally, we live in a mixed diet household. My daughter is very food curious. This way, instead of giving them a general meal plan or recommendations, I know what the lowest hanging fruit is and tackle that first. ⁣⁣

I'd say 8 out 10 times people who are trying to lose fat protein intake is a low hanging fruit. So that’s something we work on improving.

They should really be called candy bars with protein added. The name is pretty misleading. ⁣⁣

Other than the fact that they have a decent amount of protein in them, here are a few things that I don’t like about them especially if you want to lose fat:⁣⁣
⁣⁣
- Protein bars are CALORIE DENSE.  They’re packed with calories, but they're small. They don’t fill you up that much because they don’t offer much volume. So if you want to limit calories, you want high volume foods with fewer calories. (NUTRIENT DENSE)⁣⁣
⁣⁣
- They don’t taste all that great, to be honest. It’s a waste of calories whenever you eat anything that doesn't taste good. (Ok that may be an exaggeration, but honestly, it's the worst when you eat a 250 calorie cookie, and it tastes like crap)⁣⁣

I mainly incorporate protein bars in nutrition plans for clients trying to GAIN weight because they’re easy to eat, and they’re calorie dense.⁣⁣

For people wanting to lose fat, I recommend adding in very lean sources of protein as much as possible. (Check out my other post with the list of protein sources)⁣⁣

Egg whites are a great option that adds tons of protein with very few calories. Add some salsa, hot sauce, veggies, or Laughing Cow Cheese, and you’re golden.⁣⁣

Happy Saturday!!!! So blessed to have had the energy this morning to wake up and run 6 miles. A personal best!!! Training for my first half marathon had been no joke but it’s also super rewarding and I’m starting to really love the experience. Now I’m back home refueling with a delicious meal of @kodiakcakes and eggs. Topped with PB, strawberries, and Greek yogurt !!!! great start to the day 😊

Meals planned and food shopping complete 🙌🏻 I’ve never been very good at planning meals, I tend to have an idea in my head about what I will cook during the week and buy accordingly but tend to switch and change as the week does on but end up throwing food away which I hate. I know it doesn’t look like it but my tummy felt like 💩 when i took this picture. And do you know what it from? My protein😱 I’m not sure if Im developing more sensitivities to food or just becoming more in tune with my body and listening to what it tells me. But jeez, lately I’ve been realizing quite a few things. Certain white breads, certain types of dairy (like ice cream), most carbonated drinks and sadly most protein powders and bars now😭
It is so important  realize what your body likes and doesn’t like. 
Taking care of your gut can help with so freakin much. Protection against certain diseases, cholesterol levels, help digest food and turn those nutrients into fuel, obesity, and scientists are even realizing that it can be directly related to mental healthy as well😱
I have recently been keeping a food journal so i can pinpoint what foods my body does not like, of course sometimes it is unavoidable especially being a broke college kid living at home🤷🏼‍♀️ however, being aware is the first step. 
Incorporating daily pre/probiotics has also helped me tremendously. And there are many Greens drinks out there that are said to work wonders but i am yet to try!
If you need help dialing down on your nutrition and eating habits I 200% suggest starting by tracking/journaling your food and even getting help from someone. 
You know what they say, most people don’t know how good their body is designed to feel.
