Yummy dinner with all of the things the hubby doesnt like since he’s out working medical at the rodeo. I made a bunch to take for lunches this week, and it’s so good I don’t mind having it more than twice haha! The only thing I didn’t have but wanted was feta cheese ☹️ add it in if you have it! The home made tzatziki sauce was 15 oz of plain Greek yogurt, 1 Tbs Red Wine Vinegar, 1 Tbs garlic powder, 2 Tbs True Lemon, and a LOT of dried dill 😊. The founders of @thryveinside were also some of the nicest people I’ve worked with :) “Thryve Inside is a biotechnology company that analyses the bacteria in your gut. JUST KIDDING. These were taken HOURS apart!! THIS is a huge huge huge frustration of mine with my PCOS symptoms! The inflammation and bloating is INSANE when I do not make the proper food choices. The picture on the left was taken yesterday morning. I was feeling super crappy from the food I had eaten the night before and knew I was swollen from head to toe from it. The picture on the right was taken probably 12 hours later- after lots of water and making the proper food choices for the day. THAT WAS ALL INFLAMMATION IN MY BODY. I live with this every day but to see it in a picture blew my own mind about how bad and frustrating this symptom can be. I will be using this to remind me to make better food choices to fuel my body.

<Porkchop sandwich> Serve for one 🥪
2 bread | 100g pork tenderloin | 1/3 onion | 1 egg | 1 cheese | 1/2 tsp oil | 1/3 tomato | lettuce .

Nutritional content : 🍊
Calories : 439 kcal 
Carbs : 31.4g
Protein : 42.4g
Fat : 16g
Distribution % - 29C : 39P : 32 F

Method: 
1. Marinate pork tenderloin with ginger juice + pinch of salt overnight
2. In a non-stick pan, pan fry pork tenderloin without oil (I’m not using oil, you can use 1/2 teaspoon cooking oil if your pan tend to stick) 
3. Stir-fry onion & followed by pan fried egg (add 1/2 tsp oil in pan, and cook with lid close) 
4. Bring bread to a clean pan, and roast the bread over heat for 1-2 mins each side (until bit crispy, but not burnt) 
5. Layer the sandwich with your desire sequence (remember to layer the cheese slice with meat/egg since we need the heat of the cooked item to melt the cheese) 
6. Wrap in cling paper to hold the sandwich
7. Cut the sandwich to half and ENJOYYYYYY~ .

P/s:
1. For those who don’t take pork, you can substitute with chicken/other type of meat 🥩 
2. No sauce needed since it’s already tasted good (ginger taste from the meat, saltiness from the cheese, sweetness from the onion) 
3. Remember to add veggiessss to boost your vitamins/minerals/fiber 
4. It’s too much for me to finish at one time, and I ate for lunch + afternoon tea 
5. It’s so good that I can eat this for the entire week

Cheese🧀 is not considered a health food by many. But, as a matter of fact, cheese can provide you with a range of nutrients including proteins, calcium, phosphorus, zinc, vitamin A and vitamin B12. So, eating cheese 'in moderate amounts' is actually good for your health. Here👇is just one of the good things that cheese could do to your body.

PS: Don't forget that most cheeses are quite high in saturated fats and salts, so watch out how much you eat. Eating too much of cheese is not advisable. Eat sensibly!

Then I had leftover polenta and leftover butternut squash, so I mixed them together with some spices and chickpea flour and an egg! Fry it up in a pan and you have the most amazing veggie patty ever 😍 Repurposed leftovers can make the best meals!!!

I love lions!! I love lions because they are true carnivores 🥩 they are a prime example of how a body works when it’s designed to digest meat 🤓 ~
~I hate that I even have to compare...I mean isn’t it obvious? Lions can hunt naturally & salivate at living animals, they can eat raw meat, have the sharp ass teeth and most importantly THE DIGESTIVE system for meat. So unlike humans where old flesh is cooked, eaten and putrefying in our gut for god knows how long... Lions can digest RAW meat quickly & without problems. LIONS don’t get heart disease, cholesterol problems & kidney diseases from meat because LIONS are meant to eat it. Obvious difference #sorrynotsorry but if you’re reading this, you ain’t no lion so put the meat down 😂🦁

Rachelle Lessen is an IBCLC and a Registered Dietitian.  She completed her undergraduate training in dietetics at Drexel University and her graduate training in health education at Arcardia University.
She has worked in pediatric nutrition and lactation at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for over 25 years.  Rachelle provides lactation consults for families of patients admitted to the hospital and assists mothers and babies with breastfeeding. She counsels families in the Fetal Heart Program prenatally to offer support and guidance related to breastfeeding an infant with congenital heart disease.  She also has an outpatient clinic to help mothers with breastfeeding challenges.  She specializes in nutrition-related problems including food allergies and poor growth.
Rachelle is the author of the chapter “Expressed Human Milk Preparation and Handling” in the publication “Guidelines for Preparation of Human Milk and Formula in Health Care Facilities-Third Edition” and is the co-author of the ILCA publication “Risks of Not Breastfeeding” and the Academy’s Position Statement on Breastfeeding.  She has written chapters or articles for various publication on issues related to breastfeeding and nutrition. Additionally Rachelle is an adjunct professor at Drexel University where she teaches human lactation.

Couldn’t be more proud of this girl! She is rocking her corner of the 🌎world in Cuming County with her amazing programs. And this girl can make cooking carrots in an Instant Pot seem like a party!🎉#letsmakecookinggreatagain 
I took her Instant Pot Class this week. I learned that Hannah is an amazing public speaker who has the crowd in the palm of her hand. I learned that it is harder to take notes when your mom-pride-meter is spilling over. I learned that an Instant Pot does not mean “instant meals” - because to the ‘shorter cooking time’ you have to factor in the warm-up-the-pot time AND the let-off-the-steam time. 😳 I also learned that I don’t know how you’d figure out all the buttons without this Extension Agent’s fab how-to course!

I think Hannah’s next adventure should be a TV cooking show - based right here in Nebraska!

Dit voedingsmiddel is inderdaad vetrijk maar vooral rijk aan enkelvoudig onverzadigde vetzuren, wat gezonde vetten zijn. Avocado hoef je ook niet in overvloed te eten want de goude regel is: eet met mate!🌿

1. Pork is tender and not too dry, pork skin is crunchy. Overall, it's not greasy at all.
2. Look at the amount and variety of vegetables. 💚 It's served with half cup of brown rice beneath the egg. It looks like a poached egg but it's actually a fully cooked one.
3. High credit must be given to the sauces. One of the sauces tastes similar to kuah satay, but no it's even more special.
4. Not forgetting the side dish TomYam!

Postcards From The Edge...from the Worlds Highest Post Office!!! We often tend to forget how our work impacts the lives of others...until someone thanks us for helping them.

While most of us happily jump into a car or bus without a thought about how long or how treacherous the journey ahead is going to be, there are so many people who shy away from taking a trip because of motion sickness.

Happy to share that Lavita was able to journey to the highest post office in the world, to send us this thank you postcard...her 1st road trip!!! She used our GHA motion sickness remedy comprising of mint, amchur, elaichi and dates (amounts not specified here cos this was specially formulated for Lavita bearing in mind the other conditions we are treating her for)

#Falling for purple produce... and always sweet potatoes. Purple carrots were actually one of the first type of carrots cultivated along with yellow carrots in the Middle East, only later came orange 🤓. The flavor is sweet and slightly peppery and nutritionally, a great source of antioxidants, anti inflammatory properties, vitamin C, and leutin which aids in eye health. Anthocyanin is the photochemical that lends the antioxidant properties and purple pigment. This antioxidant is found in eggplant, blueberries, cherries, plums, pomegranate, berries, and purple carrots and purple sweet potatoes to name a few. Consuming these colorful fruits and vegetables protects against high blood pressure, heart disease, and even cancer..perhaps especially cancer. The believed mechanism involves the micro flora of the gut interestingly enough but a lot is yet to be learned regarding the mechanism of action and effects on human health. In regards to cancer prevention, the antioxidants have been shown to induce cancer cell death, prevent cancer cell multiplication, and induce differentiation of the cells making them less likely to “team up” so to speak and take over. I say include a purple or blue produce daily! I typically roast the carrots with salt, pepper, a little lemon juice, and rosemary or thyme @375 F and cook until tender. #bonappetit .

Minimal effort because all i had to do was brown the meat and turn on the crock pot!

I kept thinking to myself, and hearing from my clients how it’s so hard to prepare meals sometimes when coming home from work due to being exhausted from the day! Do you feel the same way?
