Follow- @caloriecomparing for more like this. - I CANNOT stress enough, if your body requires food, you should absolutely feed it 🙌🏼 • This post of course isn't directed at anyone who struggles or has struggled with an eating disorder, or at any person with a mindset of avoiding proper nutrition for reasons that conflict with their overall health and well-being. • That in mind, these tactics ARE great for anyone currently dieting in a calorie deficit, like myself 🙋🏻‍♂️, and looking for ways to avoid thinking about food constantly 😅 • The main themes here are essentially two things: • 👉🏼 Distractions, and low/no-calorie food/drinks/snacks to effectively hold you over. • 🏃🏻 The cardio option is a particular favorite of mine. The idea with it is that rather than adding calories to your INTAKE, you do the exact opposite, and increase your OUTPUT. Okay, I’m definitely on a scrambled eggs kick. 🤷🏻‍♀️ For someone who refused to eat a savory breakfast for a hella long time, this is a BIG deal! What’s your favourite, go-to dieting meal? By @smurray_32 ➖ As summer is just around the corner, today I want to talk GENERAL fat loss & why you should start NOW! Starvation is not the key to fat loss. Weight & FAT loss are not the same thus if you want to lose FAT & hold onto LBM, be sure to eat AS MUCH FOOD as you can whilst still creating a SMALL kcal deficit (Guyenet & Schwartz 2012) & SLOWLY lose weight as aggressive deficits only result in diet failure in the long run. For example Garthe et al (2011) compared an aggressive vs slow diet showing the slow to lose more fat (31% vs 21 for the fast), increase LBM (2.1% vs FAST who LOST -0.2%) & increase performance. ➖ Furthermore, in terms of metabolic adaptations to kcal deficits, as we know that the body adapts to the demands placed on it via adaptive thermogenesis (Rosenbaum 2010) by decreasing total TDEE, TEF, NEAT, EAT & improving mitochondrial efficiency (Ravussin et al 1985, Weigle & Brunzell 1990, Levine 2002, Civitarese 2007), what is going to happen when starve yourself to lose weight? You shed weight QUICK initially by cutting off 1000+kcal but then have nowhere else to go but to LITERALLY starve yourself to still lose weight vs if you were to cut 200kcal off maintenance, lose a bit of weight, plateau, cut another 200kcal etc. you’d be in a position where you can lose fat at a higher intake. ➖ Furthermore, post diet what happens from starving yourself? Once you realise that you can’t sustain such a low intake you find yourself in a position with raging hormones that promote overeating (Guzzaloni et al 1995, Heini et al 1998) however as you your “maintenance” is now so low you gain fat from just looking at a celery lol. Result? You gain all the fat back & look the same (or worse) as before. Studies even prove this with 80–90% of dieters often return to their previous weight percentiles (McGuire 1999). ➖ Conclusion: Diet smart, plan in advance & take your time to drop weight as by doing so you’ll have a much “easier” diet, better energy, quality of life, gym performance, metal state of mind & post diet, you’ll also be far more capable of sustaining that weight loss!

Chili lime shrimp bowls! 😍 This is one of my fav go-to meals - Sharing step by step how to make these below ⬇️ _ ◾Cook rice first - Used brown basmati since that is what I had but usually like to make jasmine since it pairs well. Swap broth for water to get more flavour. Add some grilled pineapple on top when rice is cooked. Like to use at least 3/4 cup rice for each bowl. _ ◾Next toss 2 lbs raw peeled shrimp 🍤 with 1.5 tsp chili powder, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp smoked paprika, 1/2 tsp pink salt, 1/2 tsp crushed red chilies, pinch of cayenne pepper, pinch of black pepper, & juice of 1 lime. Sautee in olive oil until cooked through. Sprinkle more chili powder if desired before removing from heat. Divide evenly into 6 portions. _ ◾Add some snow peas and chopped bell peppers. Keep these raw if not eating right away. When serving can heat on stove top in pan until veggies are tender or can heat in microwave and they will steam. Okey and back to reality it is! Gister heerlijk genoten van al het lekkers, maar aangezien de doelen nog niet behaald zijn gaan we gewoon weer door! Ik ben totaal niet ontevreden met mijn vooruitgang van de 8-weeks, maar ik had de lat denk ik iets te hoog gelegd voor mijzelf. Dat geeft mij nu alleen maar extra motivatie om nog een extra maandje of 2 door te zetten natuurlijk. 😼Momenteel zit ik dus gewoon weer met Mn bakkie havermout. 🌮Chicken Fajitas🌮 - Sunday night dinner, some delicious macro friendly chicken fajitas!🌮 - Fajitas always remind me of summer time food. Even though I’d eat these anytime of day or season🤷🏼‍♀️. ❌ Nahrungsergänzungsmittel❌ (Werbung da Marke gezeigt) Wenn man sich gesund und ausgewogen ernährt, braucht man doch keine Nahrungsergänzungsmittel oder ?! Früher dachte ich das auch und größtenteils stimmt das auch. Man kann durch viel Obst und Gemüse fast alle Mikronährstoffe abdecken. Die Betonung liegt jedoch auf fast ! Es ist einfach eine Tatsache, dass hier in Deutschland verschiedene Mängel vorliegen, wie zum Beispiel ein Vitamin D Mangel, da hier einfach die Sonne nicht genug scheint. Natürlich haben die Menschen damals auch keine Nahrungsergänzungsmittel genommen und haben überlebt. Aber wenn ich ein Dutzend Studien sehe über zum Beispiel Omega 3, das UNGLAUBLICH viele positive Auswirkungen hat, warum sollte ich es dann nicht nehmen?! 💯 Also: Gebt nicht euer Geld für sinnlose BCAA‘s oder Cheat Day Caps aus, sondern tut etwas für eure langfristige Geusndheit. Current mood👆🏼👆🏼It’s coming up to 1am and I have just worked out(for Sunday although its Monday now) then showered. Sooooo ready for bed!! I have my weigh-in tomorrow and feeling all sorts of ways about it this week. A big part of me starting this page was to keep myself accountable and also just to track my progress and the ups n downs. Now mid-week I just wasn’t feeling like myself and decided not to track my food as much or workout as much. I ate a lot 😳😳. I did come on here and say I was having an off day and even the next day I decided not to track. By Friday I was back to myself and have worked out and kept on track with food. I ate a lot of protein this weekend which has got to be good eh. Part of me decided not to weigh myself, then I just thought I can’t not post just because I think my weight has gone up a bit. A big part of this for me is to be as honest and as truthful as I can be about the struggle and the victory. It’s not always going to be 3lbs off every week and it’s important to remember that the success is in the struggle to keep going. I’m still at it, still going I really have no other option. Eating out can be a massive hassle when you're trying to track food intake, especially if tracking is something you're fairly new to. ▪️ It can take a while to wrap your head around guess-timating food items but over time your eye for things will become sharper after measuring out commonly eaten food items many times. ▪️ This was a meal that I had at @thegreensnorthsydney on Sunday just gone while out at lunch, jerk-seasoned poached chicken salad with lentils, rocket and dried cranberries 👌👌👌I also stole a small handful of fries from my daughter's plate. Haven’t really been feeling like myself for the last few weeks. My focus has been stretched somewhat thin in terms of fitness, given that my mind has been occupied with preparing myself to start taking on clients — definitely doesn’t help that I overthink how I go about doing basically anything, let alone training people.
