Sois muchos que me preguntáis sobre cómo leer etiquetas. 
Sobre los ingredientes a evitar es más complejo de lo que parece. “”Cada día”” se hacen estudios y lo que hoy se dice que es malo mañana se puede decir todo lo contrario o viceversa. Aún así hay ingredientes que mejor evitar. Aquí os dejo unos pocos de ellos: azúcar, aceite de palma (vegetales), monoglicéridos y diglicéridos, grasas trans, glutamato Monosódico (MSG) y así podría estar toda la noche. Soy el primero que piensa que fijarse en todo tampoco es bueno y nos llevaría a la obsesión pero hay que intentar evitar lo que no es saludable para el cuerpo. A veces nos complicamos mucho y lo más “básico” es lo mejor... frutas, vegetales, pescados, carnes, proteínas vegetales... SALUD!

Todays shoulder session ending with a shrug session. As far as shrugs go their are two different camps. Those that roll their shoulders back and those that don’t. I am firmly in the ‘dont roll’ camp. It never feels right to me and isnt a natural movement. I find better results in concentrating on the paise at the top for 2-3 seconds and then really focusing on control during the negative. Are you a roller or non roller?

Breakfast of champions. 🙄 My back is still hurting to the point that I’m afraid to workout, so I’m going to spend the morning with my IcyHot Smart Relief patch and some ibuprofen. Thinking I may try some yoga later to stretch out and see if I can tolerate it. Not being able to workout right now means I have plenty of time to focus on my nutrition, and since the scale hasn’t moved in a month I think it’s about time to try and figure out why. Happy Monday!!! Starting the week off on a good foot preferably a moving foot! Walking may not seem like much of a workout to some but it could be a major accomplishment for other. Just the fact that you are up and moving is a great start to reaching your goals. If you’ve been walking and want to switch it up a little, start by adding HIIT to one of your walks each week. Here’s how: After you’ve warmed up, walk as fast as you can for 2 minutes, then walk for 3 minutes at a comfortable pace. Repeat up to 3 times. Adding HIIT intervals to your walk allows you to go further in a shorter amount of time, meaning you’ll burn more calories.

Core! So often many of us fall into the same routine of planks and crunches to work our core. The core muscles are extremely important, especially for injury prevention. And there are a lot of them, and many different important ways to train them!⠀

Try this Medicine Ball pump fake. Stopping the slam works the muscles differently than simply slamming the ball.⠀

Stand with your feet shoulder with apart, brace your core, raise the ball up over head while keeping your back from arching. Then throw your hands down towards the floor, stopping the throw just before you let go of the ball. Then repeat, this time release the ball. Squat down to pick it up and begin again. Think about using your core to power the slam.⠀

Do this exercise for time or for reps. Great in a HIIT program. It works muscles all throughout the body, develops strength and power, and is a great low impact cardio exercise.⠀

It’s just your mind you have to convince. •

Been working on my presentation for @milkeninstitute on #workplacewellness and it made me think: if we can just do a little bit everyday to invest in our health we will be so much better off not only today, but tomorrow, and so on. •

And it doesn’t have to be a TON daily, just do something. •

I just finished up a little @jillfit #metcon bodyweight circuit of squats, jump squats, burpees, and sit ups. Now it’s your turn! 🙌🏽 •
