🥑🥜Fats + Carbohydrates 🍌🍯
🤔🤓 Carbohydrates (saccharides: sugar, starch cellulose...) are our bodies favourite source of fuel. 
Carbs are also faster digested a lot of the time leaving you hungry a few hours later😬

I like this example best: imagine drinking a Litre of Coke...relatively doable...now try drinking a litre of yoghurt...😑 it's still a litre of volume but huge differences in satiety, hunger, energy, fullness and nutrition. -
For all my preworkout and breakfast Meals I make sure fat accompanies my carbs, as it's what works best for me to keep energy and blood sugar stable throughout my mornings/workouts👅.

Choose a 'whole food' fat (avocado, coconut, chia, nuts & seeds, oily fish, coconut oil, olives, ghee etc) and pair it with a 'whole food' carb (oats, potato, rice, fruit, amaranth etc) and see if it helps HEC (hunger energy cravings) I say ➡️whole food⬅️as pizza, ice cream, cookies, cakes etc are what we can refer to as highly palatable processed 'fats and carbs' and that's a whole other discussion so for now please stick to whole food sources. (Generally a single ingredient food) 
Fats will slow digestion and keep you fuller for longer.
This might help your breakfast choice carry you through to lunch time even if the calories are the same from Nutella or jam smothered toast compared to avocado and egg on toast. 
Calories don't determine keeping your HEC in check, the foods you choose do. -

Everyone is going to have slightly different preferences and results, so pair fats with your carbohydrates specifically around breakfast & preworkout meals and monitor how it makes you feel then re-adjust as needed, adding or subtracting 10g of fats or carbs dependent on you as an individual. -

But how exactly did you start over Ri with four kids? It's been years for me and I'm still struggling. I need your help. 
I receive messages like this which tug at my heart but also make me smile because I know all too well how much can change in a few weeks let alone a few years even though most people do not realise it. 
And it isn't complicated, like our minds like to convince us it is. 
For me quite simply it started with a choice, a choice I made at 3am that I was no longer going to spend my nights agonizing over what had happened to me and how on earth was I going to rebuild but instead focus on the steps to actually rebuilding me.

That is where the true transformation was.

Sometimes we think we have to do, do and do some more and it sends us into overwhelm but when we realise we just have to be, funny how it sends us to a place of peace.

Isn't that where we are all trying to get to?

Yes it takes courage, yes it takes confidence, yes it takes action.

But most importantly I think it just takes belief in yourself and a higher purpose to really make that change happen. For me first and foremost it was the vision for my children and the transition I wanted them to witness so if they ever fell on hard times they themselves as adults would know how to get out from under that hard place and that it was possible.

It was ok for them to see their mum under a rock but certainly not ok to see her remain there. 
When that vision and desire tugs at your heart enough you will absolutely commit to those action steps needed everyday to bring about the change and life you want.
